Car Marker Comp..

The Ride.... Revamped

Update: I actually changed a few things on my actual print out now. I made the blacks richer by adding some CMY to them and I changed my font color to match the yellow lines on the road.

Chili Cook Off Design

In the design, the image of the pepper takes up most of the page using scale to it's advantage. The first thing your eyes are drawn to is the title - starting in the left middle of the page. The title and the body both wrap to the same shape as the image, even while the title overlaps into the image. The image would just be floating there if the title didn't overlap it, creating some depth to the design. With each element contoured to one another, it really brings the whole design together. There is unity between the image and the text. You can tell that it's a chili pepper and it works. I like it.

Indie Poster (photoshop)

The Car

Monkey Business

So this was for one of the first photoshop assignments we had to do. We were supposed to grab a few different images and put them together in one photoshop document. My idea was a King Kong meets the PGA sort of thing. I thought that this was funny. I used the eraser tool to help feather the giant gorilla into this links style golf course. I think the because of the scale of the gorilla, this makes it a fun image. I threw in the golf bag for good measure
Illustrator Discover Ad

This is my illustrator recreation of the Discover ad assignment. The reason I chose this for my portfolio is because I really liked my use of gradients and layering in illustrator. I think the compass looks really cool with the gold like appearance it has and I tried to use both radial
and linear gradients on the sun in order to try and get a cool effect. Originally I had no compound pat
hs but after learning what they were I decided to go back and give them another try. This time I have a couple of different compound paths that I put in during the revisi
on. I also had to close one of my pen tool shapes.
