Chili Cook Off Design

In the design, the image of the pepper takes up most of the page using scale to it's advantage.  The first thing your eyes are drawn to is the title - starting in the left middle of the page.  The title and the body both wrap to the same shape as the image, even while the title overlaps into the image.  The image would just be floating there if the title didn't overlap it, creating some depth to the design.  With each element contoured to one another, it really brings the whole design together.  There is unity between the image and the text.  You can tell that it's a chili pepper and it works.  I like it.

  1. It is funny that you picked this one because to me it was too simple. I do agree with you about the scale and the title. I don't really know what I am going to do with the font on the title... I think it needs to be very bold because the image is so plain. I love the overlapping and I am glad that was as effective as I tried to make it! As far as the missing line on the chili pepper, I don't know if it should remain that way or possibly do the letters over the line so add more depth. I'm glad it looks like a chili pepper because that is exactly what I was going for! :) Thank you!!!
